Actually the latest version of word2x is 0.005. Asking for support for any previous version is a little futile---I only want to hear about bugs that I have not yet fixed. The website has moved to http://word2x.alcom.co.uk, so the changes are no www and a different ISP name (actually the same people, FYI). The original domain the site was part of is no longer the property of the people hosting the web site, so the chance of the old location working again is nil. Improvements include unicode support. Expect preliminary OLE understanding in 0.006, using the OLE code which is part of word2x 2.0. I will alos fix some -f html bugs which still do things in TeX style instead of HTML (this is a trivial bug to squash). If someone wants to do a LyX backend so you can say "word2x -f LyX foo.doc -" and read LyX from stdout (which LyX could presumably feed to it's parser). -- Duncan (-: "software industry, the: unique industry where selling substandard goods is legal and you can charge extra for fixing the problems." -- Duncan (-: "software industry, the: unique industry where selling substandard goods is legal and you can charge extra for fixing the problems."
