I can't find any TODO file or online todo document (stable release 1.0.3),
so I'm using the bug reporting instructions instead. Anyway, this has been
getting to me for far too long now, and nothing has been done about it so
I'm guessing nobody else has complained.
Whenever I go back and edit a paragraph I get jumped by that "can't enter
two spaces" thing, and I end up with two words stuck together or other such
problems. Couldn't you defer that hangup until the cursor moves away? The
same as the way you handle entering a blank line. Ie. you can enter it, but
it goes away if you don't use it.

Using the search feature, it appears that this hasn't been raised before and
it hasn't occurred to anyone as a potential problem - though I gave up
before I'd read everything. I'll explain...
Say I want to change "this and that" to "this or that". I cursor to the end
of "and", press backspace three times, and type "or" - in every other
environment (most particularly the simplest text editor) that would make
sense. What do I get with LyX? "thisor that".
Or say I want to change "the quick fox" to "the quick brown fox". I cursor
to the end of "quick" and type " brown". Result: "the quick brownfox".
There are also issues with cut and paste in similar situations, too.
With the mindset of using a normal text editor Lyx's behaviour can be quite
unpredictable. No word processor or text editor I know of has this problem,
and I don't believe it's the sort of thing one should need/want to relearn.
It's all well and good to disregard such user input errors at compile time,
but to actively interfere with basic text entry is so hardcore-Microsoft
it's not funny.
Or is this some basic configuration option that I haven't found?
By the way, I'm not on the list - email [EMAIL PROTECTED] if you need my
attention in particular.
