Regarding borders. When you designate certain cells of the first row of a table as Multicolumn, then try and delete the left vertical lines (and right?) of any particular box, LyX displays that the entire column's left vertical line has been removed. However, LyX generates the right LaTeX code, so that the box in the top row only has had it's left vertical line removed. -- -lsm
