Yes but isn't this how a paragraph would work as an inset anyway? If a paragraph is a collection of objects (i.e) words,letters EPS insets, hieroglyphics, whatever then the paragraph would have the following properties. 1 It is know to be a paragraph. 2 It is terminated by some symbol. (\par,\n) 3 It wraps within its specified dimensions. In this context it would make sense to have paragraphs within paragraphs, and a document would still be a collection of paragraphs. Also so as you say it is done this way with mathed and works well. Bruce
