Hi Guys,
I think this one has been posted before but I'm getting hassled by my
mates who have just started using Lyx.
It has to do with copying multiline equations which have been labelled
with numbers, ie
\begin_inset Formula
\begin{eqnarray}
\alpha & = & 1\\
\beta & = & 2
\end{eqnarray}
\end_inset
If you highlight the equation, copy it, and then paste it, all the lines
collapse on top of each other. To rectify this you have to save the
document and reopen it. Painful. Alternatively, you can turn off the
numbering, <Alt>m n, then copy and paste, then turn the numbering on
again, ie
\begin_inset Formula
\begin{eqnarray*}
\alpha & = & 1\\
\beta & = & 2
\end{eqnarray*}
\end_inset
This is also annoying if the equations are given text labels (not
numbers) since you lose the text labels in the process.
Is there something that can be done before 1.0.0 is released?
Alternatively, I think it should be put in the list of known bugs with the 2
work arounds just described.
Regards,
Ben
PS. I've successfully used Lyx to complete a 450 page thesis without a
single fatal crash. Words can't describe how much of a pleasure it was
changing from Word Perfect to Lyx and I'm extremely grateful for all the
effort you have put into the package. I'd like to make some contribution
to the new server as a gesture of goodwill - it's the least I can do. Do
you have an address I can send an international money order to?
