I don't think too many people will be convinced. And anyone who has already
decided to use LyX will think it's stupid. It's a bit late to convince them,
and it seems particularly defensive to mention Word (et al) on LyX's splash
document!
I think it works better on a "why should I use LyX" document at www.lyx.org.
