The LYX-DEVEL list is devoted to developing a FREE, world class document
(word) processor. Nothing is ever sold. In the future, you should at
least send an e-mail to the Reply-To address of any offer that appeals
to you and wait for a response confirming that support is available
through that address. Many scam artists use false return mail addresses.
You have been had, but not by the LyX developers. Visit
http://www.lyx.org for more information on LyX.

Or you can take a bunch of mean friends to New York, but you will
probably only find a mail drop.
