Are you sure that you did the compilation on the same machine
(i.e. with the same Irix version)? Your gcc-2.7 version was clearly
not suited to your OS version.

I don't know. LyX 1.1 is a bit in a state of flux now, so maybe things
will improve shortly.

PS: do you know that your messages go out broken at column 40? This is
a bit unfortunate, especially for compiler output :(
