I installed lyx 1.0.0 from a debian package.
I found a small bug using the letter template. Change the sender address
to the following 5 lines:
sendto name
sendto street
sendto town
reference
This is a common way to include a reference number on a letter.
Note the blank line in the sender adress, it is made using
ctrl+enter (protected return?)
This result in an error message,
!Latex error: there is no line to end
and lyx claims the error is located somewhere in the middle of
the Opening: text.
I have got the impression that using a blank line like that
is "against the spirit" of lyx, but I shouldn't be able to
enter it in that case, or at least get the error message there,
not in the Opening text which is correct. (No problem if I write
something on the blank line. A space isn't enough.)
I tried using two paragraphs of the "send to address" type,
but only the second one got used in that case. The first one
wasn't in the xdvi view.
