That user may have been me ;)
The problem was actually reLyX related.
reLyX can't handle being relocated.
The necessary additions to README.bin could perhaps point the user to the
reLyX README because I found I had to change the !/usr/bin/perl path and
the search path for reLyX (within the perl script reLyX). I'm sure I
mentioned all that at the time in my email.
