Hi guys

you might allready know about this one, but as it doesn't appear in
the "known bugs" list, here it is

LyX version: 1.0.0, Mon Feb 1 1999 (same happened in pre2 - haven't
tried others)
xforms 0.88
linux 2.2.1, glibc2 (SuSE 6.0)
tetex

Problem:

Even if I choose "Layout-Document-Spacing:Single" my documents are
double spaced. If I delete the line "\usepackeage{doublespace}" everything is
single-spaced again. The paramter "\spacing" in the .lyx file is set
correct, but does not make any change.

Maybe you can reproduce this by doing this:
- open new document
- write a few lines
- preview it: should be single spaced, but is double spaced (*)
- change: Layout-Document-Spacing:Double
- preview it: should be double spaced and is double spaced
- change: Layout-Document-Spacing:Single
- preview it: should be single spaced, but is double space.

Is this a bug or am I doing something wrong?

Thanks for the world best User-LaTeX-interface,
Birger

ps: Just in case you're interested here is the .lyx file (just the
first lines) after step 3 (*):
