I just did; it worked. I started LyX, File->New, "space age", typed in
"space age", and clicked on the save icon. "space age.lyx" appeared in my
home directory. I clicked on the printer icon, and it printed.
I _did_ notice that LyX executed the command "dvips space_age.dvi". I
also noticed that if I export as LaTeX, I get "space_age.tex". I _also_
noticed that if I rename that file so that it has a space in it, latex
can't cope with it.
So the bug is in latex, but LyX works around it. What was the original
problem that started this thread? I think I missed it.
