There used to be a [EMAIL PROTECTED] Did that die in the crash?
Anyway, you can look at Paul Evan's LyX page (at www.paulwork.demon.co.uk).
Unforunately, Paul seems to have disappeared. In his initial e-mail, he
described how the doc effort would work much better if doc members could be
"teamed up" with developers, so that they can keep up with new developments.
It may not be necessary to do this formally, but it's still a good point.
Mike has been doing a great job on Extended, and tinkering with the other
docs, but I think we really need to make sure we recruit some new doc'ers or
we'll never be able to document the changes in 1.1. (E.g., making everything
into insets will potentially require changing large sections of various
manuals!) And there are still manual sections (like internationalization)
that are out of date or don't make sense or both.
I know the core developers are way too busy hacking C++ to do docs on the
side. I only wish a couple lyx-devel lurkers (e.g., from america, england,
or australia et al.) would step forward and help out. Our docs are great,
but they need continuous work to stay great.
