Well, that is probably true: I personally would not mind, but I think
our dept's network traffic might increase by too much.  Is there an
estimate what the expected volume might be?

So far, I have 

# cat /var/log/xferlog|awk '{ print $9, $7 }' |grep lyx-1.0.0-1|
> sort -k 2| uniq -1|wc -l
     63

which is fine.
