I am finding if that, from my home directory, I launch lyx with a file
in a subdirectory (eg, "lyx www/research/research.lyx"), I can export
as latex and dvi, but not postscript. If I export postscript, I get
something to the effect of
This is dvips(k) 5.82 Copyright 1998 Radical Eye Software (www.radicaleye.com)
dvips: ! DVI file can't be opened.
on standard output.
If I launch lyx from within this directory, all works as expected.
Similarly, if I open the file from the file menu, even if it is in
another directory, it works.
