Here is my choice of the pre-final LyX-PR doc. It is based on no. 3, but I took
out some of the worst advertising language, and made some other cleanups
following all (well most of) your remarks. Made it more middle-of-the-road,
more like version 2, but with IMO a better structure.
First paragraph now actually defines "doc proc" without claiming absolute
uniqueness ("supports and encourages"). "Consistency" arg added.
"Repeated space bar" argument streamlined a bit.
Stressed that LaTeXers lose no power.
Manuals mentioned earlier. No "advanced users" any more :-)
LGT moved down to mention of LyX home page.
Some duplications removed.
Spelling errors, PostScript(tm), slight reformulations. This is getting close
IMHO.

Unfortunately over 200 lines already :-(
