First, I would like to thank everyone with their
attempts to help me install LyX on my Linux
box. The solution to the problem was two-fold.
I needed the glibc version. Also I had a lot of
trouble with X until I got the RedHat RPM for
XForms. Then the whole process went smoothly
and I now have LyX working.
I have one small problem still which I haven't solved.
I can't seem to get the printer to work. The printer is
installed and works fine for everything else on my
system ... but LyX produces the following message:
dvips: ! no config file for printer `lp'
'lp' is the name of my printer in /etc/printcap
Any ideas?
