    | Well, imagine this: larsbj posts to the announce list, and somebody
    | notices a typo in the announcement. Should his reply go to larsbj
    | or the users list? What if larsbj is not subscribed to the user's
    | list?

That would not be something to use reply or followup for, but a
sensible user should mail the announcer a notification about the
   bug/typo. (who would be a reannouncement/correction)

    | Here is though another solution: we could moderate the announce
    | list.

   We could, but why?

    | (I am really not trying to make this difficult. I just want to make
    | sure that as little frustration is caused to users as possible.
    | Again, adding or removing headers is very simple)

Can't we just try the Reply-To field, and if people are really unhappy
about it find a better scheme.

So based on the above conversation, every message to the lyx-announce
list will have the reply-to and mail-followup-to headers removed and
replaced by reply-to and mail-followup-to headers pointing at the
lyx-users list.

I now just have to find the lyx-users list address in the LyX docs (I
cannot connect to www.lyx.org)
