If I want to "branch" a document currently registered with rcs, I find that I must: (i) save as under a different name (ii) close the document (iii) reopen the document, then register it with rcs. You can't skip (ii) for some reason. Maybe this shouldn't be necessary. Now, am I following the best procedure, given the subset of rcs commands supported in LyX? I'm not allergic to the command line, so should I use a raw rcs command to branch the document, then open the new document in LyX? Or is there some new command we can add to the rcs functions supported by LyX to permit branching? Best regards -- Larry S. Marso [EMAIL PROTECTED]
