No. One should be able to edit a document even if you don't have the
corresponding LaTeX (or whatever) package. I remember some of the
developers don't want to contribute to our developers guide with the
excuse that they don't have linuxdoc. ;-)
Yes, a warn would be good.
As I won't write the code for such a dialog, ca m'est egal.
