My goal at ffn is less about reading than actually interaction with
writers.
That means an account, which means an far from inclusive captcha, which
for me means a closed door.
One can read on the m. site, its a pain, but can be done. I love
reading off line though, again possible at ao3.

Yeah. Reading is possible by hand-editing the URLs:
ffn/s/<number>/<chapternumber>
e.g. https://www.fanfiction.net/s/8864982/26
(the /<storyname> at the end is not needed)
Communities can be switched to show all (include M rating):
ffn/community/<name>/<number>/99
e.g. https://www.fanfiction.net/community/The-Video-Game-Plot/105176/99/
If you also wish to filter, say, stories with at least 40k words:
ffn/community/<name>/<number>/99/0/1/0/40
99 = rating, 0 = ?, 1 = page, 0 = ?,
40 = minimum number of 1000 words (0 = all 11 = <1000 51 = <5000,
1 = >1000, 5 = >5000, 10 = >10k, 20 = >20k, 40 = >40k,
60 = >60k and 100 = >100k)
But that’s about it… no comments or anything.
