Offhand, I had thought you might be reporting a problem with GNUTLS, and intended investigating it in detail this week (was busy with another bug report). However, the url opens with this version in Debian: ii lynx 2.8.8dev.9-3 Text-mode WWW Browser (transitional package) ii libgnutls26 2.12.16-1 GNU TLS library - runtime library Here is the version message (at the moment I'm updating that machine): Lynx Version 2.8.8dev.9 (12 Jun 2011) libwww-FM 2.14, SSL-MM 1.4.1, GNUTLS 2.12.14, ncurses 5.9.20110404(wide) Built on linux-gnu Jan 3 2012 07:18:25 Copyrights held by the Lynx Developers Group, the University of Kansas, CERN, and other contributors. Distributed under the GNU General Public License (Version 2). See http://lynx.isc.org/ and the online help for more information. I do not recall noticing any recent package problems with lynx in Debian. > Riku > On Wed, 25 Jan 2012, Thomas Dickey wrote: > >> On Wed, Jan 25, 2012 at 03:33:31PM -0500, Stefan Caunter wrote: >>> On Wed, Jan 25, 2012 at 3:23 PM, Riku Virtanen <r...@sci.fi> wrote: >>>> Hi folks, >>>> >>>> I installed Lynx 2.8.8.dev9 and noticed that it is saying: >>>> This client does not contain support https urls. >>>> However, Lynx 2.8.7.dev9 contained this support. >>>> How is it possible? >>> >>> Could you please provide uname -a and lynx -version, as well as the >>> urls you are using? >> >> SSL (https) is a configure-script (build-time) option. >> The version message shows whether lynx is built with OpenSSL (or even >> GNUTLS).
