CON: Rewriting C source code to Java is a major PITA and might be easier to just start from scratch
PRO: At a penny/k byte ($10/MB) data charge, a non-graphical web browser for mobile apps is a no-brainer. This could recharge the Lynx brand name. I'd like to know your thoughts on this subject.
