That's probable a desktop environment issue. What desktop environment are you
using? GNOME is the default for Ubuntu.

My problem is that when i plug a usb key into my laptop it automatically
uses Darktable to open the device. Now, if this were a USB key
containing only RAW files, I would be OK. But I just want the file
manager to open the drive without a preference.
