When we can resume in-person meetings one thing that I think might be good is
a server install day. People like me who have serious server gear (hot swap
disks, remote management, etc) lying around at home could bring it in and have
a hands on install Linux and tools for server management event. I've got a
couple of Dell servers and can demonstrate PERC RAID management and iDRAC
remote system management. Such an event would have hearing protection as an
optional extra (noise cancelling headphones work well).

I've posted to luv-talk about how to get cheap servers for educational
purposes. People could bring their own gear to learn with experts helping
out.
