Hi FOlks,

I've encountered more than one instance where the install via snap is
different than that installed by apt on ubuntu - sometimes resulting in
subtle bugs, sometimes in incompatibility with other components.

I normally embrace new ways of working but I have to say I'm less than
impressed with snaps
