You can deal with spaces, but it can be extra work depending on the how
the task is done.
$ touch aaa\ H\ bbb bbb\ H\ ccc ddd\ H\ ddd
$ ls -1
aaa H bbb
bbb H ccc
ddd H ddd
$ for x in *H*;do mv -vi "${x}" "${x/H/J}";done
'aaa H bbb' -> 'aaa J bbb'
'bbb H ccc' -> 'bbb J ccc'
'ddd H ddd' -> 'ddd J ddd'
$ ls -1
aaa J bbb
bbb J ccc
ddd J ddd
