Why? What problem are you solving? Some public recursive name services
already exist.

If it's only for friends, make it private.

If that's a concern, host it elsewhere. Unless you absolutely want to
be accountable for reliability requirements that come with it.
(maintenance, n+1 redundancy)

I don't know your threat model; but potentially consider the risk of
being responsible for traffic simply by relaying it, (just ask anyone
who's run a tor exit node), you may inadvertently attract the
attention of law enforcement.
