I think the situation has improved on both fronts:

What happens with traffic metering on IPv6? Is unmetered content still
unmetered?

*For customers with plans that are eligible for unmetered data*, data
consumed over IPv4 *or (from late 2015) IPv6*, won't count toward metered
quota.

What content is unmetered?
Netflix Australia
Netflix is the world's leading Internet subscription service for enjoying
TV shows and movies. Members can instantly stream their favourite TV shows
and movies right to their computer, TV, tablet, or smartphone. It's fast.
It's easy. ...
...
---

I'm on Internode, and I vaguely recall IPv6 Netflix being un-metered at
about the same time as the "Instant Grandfather" upgrade from 400 GB/month
to 1200 GB/month and so I have stopped worrying about metered/unmetered
traffic altogether.

Nobody else in Australia has native IPv6 that I know of.

Here is one.

Each service is assigned a single public IPv4 address and, for each
requesting router or MAC address, a /56 prefix of IPv6 addresses. Each
assignment is static but we reserve the right to renumber our network.
