Personally I think I am better off using an external modem with WiFi or Ethernet. It is one device more, agreed, but it increases the range of products, while making it easier to adapt to new technologies, helps when going oversees etc. It is also increasing the list of available operating systems because 4G and open source are not exactly good friends.
