Hi there, interesting - thanks for sharing that with us - I used to see this a lot in other technology (15+ years ago) and it was a case of the print spooler not sending the correct or sufficient re-initialisation codes to the printer before (or you could argue after) the print job. I am not sure yet where to look in the printing systems but will give it some thought. I suspect the same effect can be had with other combinations. We had a temporary patch which was to send a dummy document to the printer to reset the codes.
This was easy to fix back then using a printer in hexdump mode and creating the dummy doc. A favourite subject of mine at the moment is the HPLIP printing system - there was an update recently to 13.14.10. I wonder if you have used this - if so what version. I noticed some features have been removed in the latest update Wonder where you are at now with this - it gives my a push to investigate.
