Thanks Robin, DVDRIP does rip to a series of VOB files in a folder. So are you saying that the subtitles will be contained in each of those files? If that is what you are saying, then it must be at the transcode step where the subtitles get lost. If the Aldi and Kaiser baas media players will handle vob files then I am set.
