Hi Andreas,
Sure thing - I can do that.
I was mostly checking to make sure I was correct and not missing
something stupid.
Thanks,
Patrick

The best thing to do is file a LUDOC ticket at https://jira.whamcloud.com/ and
push a fix patch against the doc/lustre-manual repo at

Cheers, Andreas

Hello all,
Trivial check: In section 17.2 of the Lustre manual, under major
release upgrades, this is noted as step 14:
Introduced in Lustre 2.7
(Optional) If you are upgrading from a release before Lustre 2.7, to enable OST
FIDs to also store the OST index (to improve reliability of LFSCK and debug
messages), after the OSTs are mounted run once on each OSS:
oss# lctl set_param osd-ldiskfs.*.osd_index_in_idif=1
We recently went from Lustre 2.5 to 2.8 (on our way to 2.12), and
I would like to add the above setting, now that we have been running
for a few weeks. However, I think it should actually be:
oss# lctl set_param osd-ldiskfs.*.index_in_idif=1
Could someone confirm? I'm far from a pro on all of the various
Lustre variables.
Thanks a lot.
Patrick
