Some don't. Most I have tried do. Google, find one that works, buy it. Or go to a shop with a laptop and try before you buy -- while supporting local businesses. > Or at least where I'm from, it's very rare if at all that I see wifi > adapters that work in linux, and I HAVE been looking around. One of my companies used to sell them as a standard offering. They're not that hard to find. > I'm also > hesitant to order online. If you know that the device you're ordering has a compatible chip in it, it should be fine. Or order from someone that specifies Linux compatibility. > Also, you might say I can use ndiswrapper, but > ndiswrapper can be very unstable sometimes. I wouldn't. I have not even had to _try_ that for a decade. One of my laptops is from 2007, the other from 2008. Both have built-in wifi which works fine with multiple Linuxes. But you can still switch it off and try others. -- Liam Proven • Profile: http://lproven.livejournal.com/profile Email: lpro...@cix.co.uk • GMail/G+/Twitter/Flickr/Facebook: lproven MSN: lpro...@hotmail.com • Skype/AIM/Yahoo/LinkedIn: liamproven Cell/Mobiles: +44 7939-087884 (UK) • +420 702 829 053 (ČR) -- Lubuntu-users mailing list Lubuntu-users@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/lubuntu-users
