I'm going to suggest to the pcman devs to include the option in the
preferences...
If i can find where they live...

Hi,
There are a few REALLY simple ways to circumvent this.
1) use imagemagick, because it can thumbnail everything... really....
pdf, images, movies.... Here is one for movies
save it as /usr/share/thumbnailers/imagemagick-video.thumbnailer
voila, fast, and easy
2) delete the totem-video-thumbnailer file from the same directory
no more pesky thumbnails.
bloody hell, that .thumbnail folder was HUGE already and i installed
this pc only a few weeks ago! Even PDF's, screenshots, this can't be
good for the performance in the long run when you open up a folder and
then it has to dig trough all the tumbnails in 1 folder and match those
with the actual files.... That's a big waste of time and energy...
If other people would use this PC i could even consider this to be a
privacy issue.... I really don't want to know what kind of video's other
people have played....
And still i can see how other people may really like this feature.
As eyecany, or to spy on their family. :-s So teens be aware, daddy can
find your hidden thumbnails!!! :-)
