scrooyahoo,
I don't know where the results are posted, but I've responded to a
Brian Quigley of Canonical twice (once in 2014 and once in 2106)
asking about the ratio of 32 bit users versus 64 bit for Ubuntu and
derivatives. I responded with the numbers I had for downloads of the
C4C Lubuntu ReSpin - and as leader of a group who's refurbished and
given away 500+ computers loaded with it.
I momentarily found the results from the 2014 survey with bar charts
and eveything just last week while followng this thread but can't seem
to find it again. And I couldn't locate the 2016 results posted
anywhere.
But, Brian Quigley himself would know. You might email him. Here's his
blog post from this year asking for people to take the survey (polling
is closed)

Thanks Eric,
Are these perhaps those figures?

I'll send Brian a mail....
Also i found these stats
https://www.netmarketshare.com/operating-system-market-share.aspx?qprid=10&qpcustomd=0
Under Operating System Share > Desktop I found a few remarkable figures
saying 10% is still running on XP in 2016!?
This still doesn't say anything about the actual hardware... I mean XP
can run on a Core2Quad as well.
But lets say if 1% of all the people who are online would for instance
still use a PIII That's still an awful lot of people. Except actual
figures are hard to find.
When you ask google, then the results will most likely be biased to
Android hardware, If you find figures cooked by microsoft then the
picture is again out of balance. So to avoid biased figures it would be
good to find figures from a few sources independant from the industry.
In the past I have seen charts but for some strange reason i can't find
much data on this in 2016. Not even from big G...
If anyone should be able to plot this chart it would be Google right?
:-)
