Aere, I *think* I received it. Didn't it include
"a table showing the (hexadecimal) numeric values of the ASCII character set"? Yes, lots of detailed information. Lot's of which I don't understand. But I do appreciate you taking the time to compose the data for me. I think in the end, I'll just have to either install a file manager that I'm comfortable with, or change distributions. I was just hoping to understand the reason why PCManFM sorts the way it does so that maybe I could see the benefit of it. But, so far that's just not happening. For instance, if I have hidden files made visible, in my home directory I have .folders first, then regular folders, then .files, and then regular files; that is going from top to bottom. So, from top to bottom I see: hidden folders normal folders hidden files normal files In Caja it's just the opposite: normal folders hidden folders normal files hidden files I don't know, maybe it's just me, but I seem to be more comfortable with Caja'a sorting order. I'll just learn to get used to it, there must be a logical benefit that I'm not seeing. ---Jerry > On Thursday, June 23, 2016 5:51 PM, Aere Greenway <a...@dvorak-keyboards.com> > wrote: > > Jerry: > > I sent a detailed explanation, but it exceeded the maximum size of an > e-mail for this list, so it 'bounced'. > > Hopefully, the person in charge of the list will make a decision > regarding it. > > - Aere > > > > On 06/23/2016 09:40 AM, J.
