Hi Fritz,
I have no idea about XFCE PPA... but to add a PPA from the terminal you do:
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:<PPANAME>

I think there is some sort of GUI for PPAs available from a PPA... but I
am a terminal person, so I don't know...
You could do a search for one, but it may not exist. I do have a JWM
PPA that I keep up to date with github if you want :)
Of course *if you are using PPC *(which you usually are)*a PPA will not
help*. You will need to go through *more* effort, though you don't need
a PPA for it... but it is MUCH more effort.

In short:
install all the ubuntu packaging tools
bzr branch the launchpad repo for all the XFCE stuff
then build the dsc file.
Then create the pbuilder base for precise
then use pbuilder to build the Deb.
then cd ~/pbuilder/precise_result
then sudo dpkg -i *.deb
whew...
PPC is the more complicated route, always :)
Of course the project might use CMake, and if it does you could
potentially use cpack... but that is another story.

That said, I might have time to build JWM and jwm-settings-manager for
PPC sometime if you are interested in it. I just need to work on the
PPC again, I haven't had the time for it recently.
