Hello,

I installed BlueGriffon to see if I could help you and because it gives
me an excuse to check it out. I'm looking maybe to replace SeaMonkey
Composer for the same kind of WYSIWYG web page work. Fortunately for me
(but unfortunately for you?), the install was flawless and there is
already a proper BlueGriffon shortcut (desktop entry file) in the menu.

Just in case my install process was different - here's what I did;

wget -q -O - http://archive.getdeb.net/getdeb-archive.key | sudo apt-key
add -
sudo sh -c 'echo "deb http://archive.getdeb.net/ubuntu trusty-getdeb
apps" >> /etc/apt/sources.list.d/getdeb.list'
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install bluegriffon

The shortcut now in my menu is this:

[Desktop Entry]
Version=1.0
Name=BlueGriffon
Exec=/usr/bin/bluegriffon %U
Icon=bluegriffon
Terminal=false
Type=Application
Categories=Application;Development;

To use it, copy the text above and follow Israel's advice

gksu leafpad /usr/share/applications/bluegriffon.desktop

Paste the text into that bluegriffon.desktop file.

This puts BlueGriffon in the Programming sub-menu - which is where I
happen to want it. If you want BlueGriffon to appear in the Internet
sub-menu instead, again do what Israel advised and change the
Catagories= line to say

Categories=Network;

Or, by some chance - if you want BlueGriffon to appear in both the Programming
and Internet sub-menus, make it say

Categories=Application;Development;Network;

Eric
