Did you consider to tweak grub concerning acpi. Me, for example i solved
some problems by adding "acpi_osi=linux".

I don't think that's the problem. Adding "acpi_osi=linux" is not going
to create /proc/acpi/processor. That location is no longer created
under current kernels. Instead, it creates a tree at /sys/class/thermal.
