Are you using nm-applet for your network connections in the panel? If
not, this has been the cause of numerous problems.
I suggest looking here:
http://www.webupd8.org/2014/04/fix-lubuntu-1404-network-manager.html
as it seems to cover everything pretty well
I have nm-applet running but i will do the change anyway. I will post
the results.
Does suspend work when using Unity?
Yes
I very often have serious issues when running 2 distinct DEs. I am
currently using Unity and LXQt (as well as others) on one machine.
Since they both use different power management tools
there are issues with suspending in one or the other if I use both.
Testing one in 'guest' mode, or as another user, can circumvent this
problem.
This seems the most likely issue.
Is there any way to remove unity? I install Ubuntu at first time and the
install lubuntu-desktop and never come back.
Maybe uninstallation of unity and every Ubuntu package will resolve this
issue?
I will try with lubuntu cd and see if the behavior is the same.
I will post any results in a few hours.
Thanks!
Emiliano.
