If you want to backup absolutely everything; your whole Lubuntu 14.04 system
including your applications, settings, passwords, etc. - try Black Lab Image
Creator (formerly OS4SystemImage, formerly Remastersys).
Sorry I didn't think of this before. We use the "dist" option to make our C4C
Lubuntu ReSpin (with several modifications), but it slipped my mind most folks
use the "backup" option to make an exact copy of their whole system.
You could save a really stripped-down version of your system to fit on a CD,
but a DVD or USB flash drive will let you fit a bunch more. I do believe you
are limited to 4GB? I can't remember exactly.
I think you can also set up a USB flash drive with persistence so you can
update it in an ongoing fashion. To find more info on that or anything else to
do with BLIC, Google Remastersys. Not much has really changed since Remastersys
except the "polish." No GUI, no .deb package right now, but it's still a script
at it's heart.
