Turning back on this:

Including the " -c 1 " statement it works. But remains really unclear to
me, why, by default completely other values than yours. Unfortunately i
do not find the original file (i presume it's somewhere in /etc/xdg ...?)

Curiously, for brightness, 'xbacklight -inc 10' or so does not have any
effect increasing brightness ( 'xbacklight -dec 10' works as aspected).
If i use 'xbacklight -dec -10' it increases backlight brightness. Not
really logical ... ;-)
