You mentioned VB (VirtualBox). Please specify also the computer, where you tested on directly 'on metal'. Best regards Nio -o- and hi everybody :-) Have you got an old computer (with a pre-pentium II CPU) without PAE capability? In that case, please help testing this new non-pae kernel made by Phill! Until there is an iso file, it might be possible to install either via Plop and USB, or directly to the hard disk drive, HDD, in the following way: Remove the HDD, and connect it to a (newer) computer, where the One Button Installer can run, and install Lubuntu Trusty non-pae from Ltrusty-npae-feb23.tar.xz and move the HDD back to that pre-pentium II computer again. The installed Lubuntu is portable, so it works also in the old computer provided the free drivers can manage the graphics etc. You might be able to help it run with the boot option 'nomodeset' or the boot option 'text'.
