Personally I don't have this problem and I cannot confirm this bug. But you have to know that on average, over 1,000 bugs are filed every week in launchpad. Don't expect a developer or a triager to involve with the bug immediately. Be patient and provide as much information you can. I didn't see an "apport-bug" in tags. Run in terminal ubuntu-bug PACKAGENAME could help to gather debugging information that will help to resolve this issue. I'm not sure if this bug is related to Intel graphics or ACPI or some other function, because you said that when you suspend from the menu you have no problems at all. The problem only occurs when you close the lid.
