I tried the AMD64+mac Desktop image from 2013-09-13 and locks up every time at the "Thank You" slide. I've tried it twice installing from the "Try Lubuntu" mode first and twice directly jumping into Install. I'll download the Alternate AMD64+mac image in a while and try that. Interestingly the same box seems to run OpenBSD just fine. I was even doing heavy compiling during the interim.
