firstly facebook is a special problem. secondly I guess you were not using the zram-config package from ubuntu. This should create a virtual swap drive that has the same size as the detected ram in your pc.

zram virtual swap space can be configured. The zram-config in Ubuntu should use the ram size as default zram swap space size (at least it did when I took a look at the script the last time)
