Well, I'd say that it seems *possible* -- but it reduces the set of i386
machines that will boot the resulting "truly portable" (sic) image to
those with a BIOS that correctly handles multi-catalog El Torito
booting.  So it's not generally worth doing.  In the Lubuntu world where
we try to support older PCs, that would be a particularly bad trade-off.
 So it won't happen for official Ubuntu or Lubuntu releases.

If Nio wants to spend the time to learn how, and do it, cool.  Maybe all
the i386 machines Nio can borrow have multi-catalog boot support.  So
for his particular circumstances, it might make sense.  Open source
means he is free to do the work :)
