I hope you are also getting SIP set up parallel to Skype.  Skype is
rather limiting with its proprietary protocol and closed binaries.  It
won't run on any platform except x86.

As far as SIP clients go, Ekiga is good, but it might be that Jitsi is
even better.  From what I remember of Skype, the sound quality of SIP is
much better, but it's been a long time since I used Skype.

SIP is important because it is an open standard.
