This is how I use Shotwell. At Shotwell preferences, I have enabled the option: "Write tags, titles, and other metadata to photo files". I am adding a tag to my new photos, in the fomat yyyy-mm-dd Town - Event. So they are categorised based on tags. After a reinstallation of *buntu, when I reimport these photos, they are automatically categorised into tags. So add tags to your phots, with the preferences option enabled, let them for a couple of seconds to be saved, and see what I mean. You can always erase tags from photos, or modify them. -- Ioannis Vranos http://cppsoftware.binhoster.com -- Lubuntu-users mailing list Lubuntu-users@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/lubuntu-users
